Atlas is a specialty distributor to the printing industry of supplies consumed in the printing process, such as printing blankets and inks.

Operating for years with a disparate collection of desktops and a Unix backend system, Atlas needed to consolidate their peer to peer network. Furthermore, due to the lack of support for Year 2000 their Unix based system needed to be replaced.
Atlas also needed to support several satellite offices with minimal cost. These offices had previously been using fax systems and the telephone to place orders, check stock and generally keep in contact with the head office.

Atlas Graphic had decided on Navision Financials as the replacement for their legacy Unix system. KMP worked closely with the Navision consultants and designed a new network based on Microsoft technologies which was robust enough to handle the requirements of Navision Financials and provided room to grow. Enterprise class servers and networking hardware were implemented to provide the backbone.
The addition of Windows Terminal Services allowed all existing remote offices to connect directly with the office over low cost Internet connections (rather than high cost Leased Line networks???)

Atlas Graphic Supply now has a professional internal network in place with a foundation that they can add on too. All employees have access to all the information and programs that they need to complete their work efficiently. Remote offices are able to use the same application as the head office without the delay in processing they had experienced before.
